In accordance with academic tradition, the exchange of research materials is used to build and extend knowledge.
However, the transfer of research materials has responsibilities that should be recognized and respected by both suppliers and recipients of these materials. The assurance of these responsibilities is accounted for in the equipment transfer contracts. These agreements govern the transfer of material materials such as biological materials (cell lines, plasmids, antibodies and vectors), animal models, compounds, equipment, software and all the resulting developments or releases.
